This was one of my first big websites for an Open Source Software Project.
The old site was dark and not nice to look at. So I designed the new layout, wrote proper HTML and CSS code and made some matching graphics. The colors fit the tango! guidelines so the website matches the GNOME style. I kept the all the filenames of the old html and image files, so external links stay functioning. Also most of the text is copied from the old site so nobody gets confused with the brand new website.
The site refresh was a huge push for the popularity of the application. Liferea is becoming a pre installed default application in many Linux distributions.
